YouTuber Houston Wilson attempted to complete the Tour De Los Padres this past summer, a 442-mile bikepacking challenge in the southern Los Padres National Forest. A hefty task during the event in early May, it quickly became a much more consequential effort as he took on the route in the dead of summer. In his latest video, Houston reflects on his near-death experience, the reality of navigating the terrain after the fires that decimated California last year, and the truths of life and death through the lens of bikes.
